18/6/10 - AEP tours with Ian Moss, Diesel, Damien Leith, Kim Churchill and Asa Broomhall

During April, May and June, AEP has been run off our feet keeping up with demand for our services. We've been touring with both established musical icons like Ian Moss and Diesel, and up-and-comers, like Asa Broomhall and Kim Churchill.

In addition to our road-tested ADRaudio U103's and ATA118's, the Diesel tour also marked the Australian debut of the new ADRaudio U103D's, the dual 10" and horn version of the stellar U103. Everyone on the tour was pleased, and mentioned how great they sounded.

The Diesel and Ian Moss tours were also using our brand new Digidesign SC48. "The SC48 really saved our bacon on both tours", said MD Jamie Taylor, "The ability to use a virtual soundcheck was invaluable in several venues with both artists, as timing didn't allow us to have them there to do a traditional check. Also, having to mix Ian myself, it was a great help in being able to fine-tune my mix by simply recording a couple of songs from the first night and then replaying them the next day. No other console on the marketplace allows you to do that so easily."

15/4/10 - AEP purchases Digidesign SC48

We've just received shipment of our new Digidesign SC48 48-channel digital mixing system. Well known for it's exceptional audio quality and Protools TDM plugins, this desk is an exceptionally versatile mixer.

A unique feature of this desk is the ability to interface with Protools LE, giving the ability to record/playback 18 channels of audio at a time. This means we can record your event, concert or rehearsal in multitrack, allowing for a mix-down later at your favourite studio. We are also offering a mix-down service in-house, to make sure your event sounds the best it can be!

Our SC48 is fully-loaded with 48 inputs and 32 outputs, making it ideal for rock touring, theatre or corporate, where a high number of outputs are required. The console also comes with a separate rack containing a Apple Mac Mini for Protools, 2 x 1tb Glyph Technologies Harddrives for recording, a wireless router and external arial, for connection to the desk and Mac Mini for remote control, and a UPS for use with the SC48

Reaching 142dB at 1 metre, the dual 10" and horn boxes will be used on our big tours, providing enough volume with two per side to fill venues up to 1500 people. We have also purchased more M1225 monitors, ATA118 subs, and put options on purchasing the new sub design when it arrives in 2010.

Also, AEP has purchased new Sennheiser G3 EW500 sets. Says MD Jamie Taylor: "These are the best you can buy until you get to the ultra-professional model. Sennheiser is the best sounding, most fully-featured, and just generally best wireless you can buy, and we're proud to be stocking their new G3 EW500 sets."

AEP has been busy in the latter part of this year, supplying many tours and events. One of the many examples is Raw Dance Company's international tour to Holland and Singapore, where AEP provided tour support and staff. Raw Dance company was also multi-track recorded in their sell-out shows in Singapore, showing our growing focus not only to live sound reinforcement, but also to recording your event.
